Directions to UNH
On Commencement day, the traffic in and around Durham is extremely heavy. Please plan to arrive in Durham no later than 8:00 a.m. to ensure that you are at the ceremony by 9:45 for the beginning of the procession.
By Car
From I-95 South (Maine), take Exit 5 (in NH) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N), then take Exit 6W (Route 4 West) towards Durham to the Exit for Route 155A. .
From I-95 North (Mass.), take Exit 4 (in NH) (left hand exit) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N), then take Exit 6W (Route 4 West) towards Durham to the Exit for Route 155A.
From the West, take route 101 East to Exit 7 (Route 125 North). Follow Route 125 North to the traffic circle. Take Route 4 East to the Durham Exit (2 miles)(Route 155A).
As you approach campus, there will be signs for parking in Lot A, the Mast Road Lot and the West Edge Lot. Shuttle service will be available to and from the Mast Road and West Edge Lots.
Guests with disabilities should exit Route 4 at Madbury Road and follow signs to Lot B for parking and shuttle service.
By Train
Amtrak train service connects UNH-Durham to Portland, Maine and Boston. The train station is adjacent to the Whittemore Center. Check the Downeaster schedule by calling Amtrak at 800-USA-Rail or www.thedowneaster.com.
By Airplane
There are three airports in the region: Boston's Logan International Airport in Boston, MA, Manchester/Boston Regional Airport in Manchester NH, and Portsmouth Airport at Pease International Tradeport, Newington, NH.
By Bus
C&J Trailways Bus Lines has routes to Portsmouth and Dover, NH from Logan Airport and South Station in Boston, MA. From these stations there is no direct service to Durham.
