Abstract Submissions and Panel Presentations
20 – 25 minute presentations should be submitted using the online submittal process below. Please provide a 200 word or less description of your talk. Please do not submit a technical paper as it will NOT be accepted. For examples of abstracts, click on the 'submit abstract' link below.
In general, talks should be geared towards an audience of Junior and Senior level undergraduates and graduate students in Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as fellow Civil and Environmental Engineering professionals in various practice areas. Technical and Professional Experience topics are encouraged. The goal is to share your professional experience and passions to help students understand what professional practice is really like. At the same time, this is an opportunity to share your professional insights with peers. Please see the 2012 Conference Program for examples.
For the 2014 conference the following panels will be offered (subject to change depending on popularity and conference schedule):
- EIT to PE: Your First 48 Months
- After the B.S. is done – Graduate school or winning your first job
- Working Internationally
- Be Your Own Boss: Entrepreneurs Share Business Ventures
- Being an Expert Witness
