Director of the UNH-M Library Named Interim UNH Library Dean

Annie Donahue, director of the UNH-Manchester library has been named interim dean UNH library. She assumes the position Feb. 14.  

Donahue joined UNH-M in1998 as a library specialist and was appointed director in 1999. She has chaired UNH-M’s humanities department since 2008. An associate professor, Donahue is pursuing an Ed.D in learning, leadership, and community from Plymouth State University and has a Master of Liberal Arts (concentration in Celtic language and literature) from Harvard University and a Master of Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in humanities from UNH-M in 1994.

“As director of the Manchester campus library, I enjoyed an effective collaboration with the UNH Library for many years. The faculty and staff in Durham have made positive changes in the past few years and I am looking forward to working with this team to develop a strategic plan that will continue this forward momentum,” Donahue says.

Provost John Aber is pleased to welcome Donahue to the Durham campus, and to the leadership position in the Library.  “Annie has extensive experience with libraries generally, and knows the people and processes on the Durham campus well,” Aber said.  “She will bring a wonderful combination of professional experience, local knowledge and an effective personal style of management to the position.  I look forward to working with her.”   

As interim dean, Donahue will report to the provost, and will be a member of the Provost’s Council.
