Donate to Wildcat Santa by Dec. 11
In 2011, Wildcat Santa helped make the holidays a little brighter for 55 children in the UNH community. Requests for assistance are expected to be as high as last year, when more than 40 families sought donations.
Wildcat Santa collects toys, games, arts and crafts, books and sporting equipment and distributes them to those in need. Movie passes are also welcome. Cash contributions, and money raised through raffle tickets, are used to buy gift certificates for older children.
Donations of clothing should be made directly to agencies that accept clothes year round. If you would like to contribute food, you can do so at the Cornucopia Food Pantry on campus or your local food pantry. Pet food and supplies can be made to Elderpet, a program of the Thompson School of Applied Science, or a pet shelter of your choice.
Toys are being accepts through Dec. 11 and can be picked up by families Dec. 13 and Dec. 14. Raffle ticket sales will be sold through Dec. 12. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. For a list of employees selling tickets, click here.
