Prescod-Weinstein appointed to National Academies Committee

Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, assistant professor of physics and core faculty in women’s studies, was named to the National Academies’ Committee on Elementary Particle Physics: Progress and Promise. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy, the study aims to help federal agencies, policymakers and academic leadership understand the future prospects for and societal benefits of particle physics research and make informed decisions about funding, workforce and research directions.
