Mike Decelle, dean of UNH Manchester, published an opinion piece in the Union Leader on Sunday, June 5, which details his path to the University and highlights his commitment to strengthening the link between higher education and economic development in the region.

I’m personally committed to being a fully engaged partner in helping the Merrimack Valley and the city of Manchester reach its maximum potential.

"Our obligation as a public institution and the state’s flagship university is to provide our graduates with a high-quality education that enables them to pursue a rewarding career, preferably one right here in New Hampshire," Decelle wrote. "This requires that the faculty and staff at UNH Manchester be tightly connected with the needs, both current and future, of the business community and build undergraduate and graduate programs that meet those needs."
