COLA Launches New Website

Thursday, August 15, 2013

The College of Liberal Arts has launched a new website: This collaboration between the college and UNH’s Web Solutions is the result of more than a year’s work. The new site was created in Drupal, an open-source content management system used by more than 350 educational institutions in the US.

Enhancements include easy-to-find requirements for all majors, minors, and graduate programs; comprehensive, site-wide lists of faculty, faculty books, student awards and scholarships, and news; enhanced slideshows; integrated audio; improved calendar functionality; improved webforms; and new site-wide social sharing options.

The new website provides significant improvements for student, faculty, and staff users as well as many time-saving features for web editors. The site is the public face of a robust web infrastructure that is optimized for speed and manages 10 times more traffic than the previous site. Mobile compatibility, accessibility, information architecture, and web best practices are built in.

The college would like to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of the Web Solutions development team: Mike Henninger, Breanna McLean, John Pietlicki, and Christopher Schneider.

Feedback on the new site is welcome. Questions or comments may be submitted at
