Courtney Gray, the first student to complete UNH's JD/MSW dual degree program, is helping to combat the growing opioid drug epidemic in her role as executive director of the New Hampshire Alcohol and Other Drug Service Providers Association.

“All my passion comes from connecting with people," Gray said. "This job is a great match with my education."

Gray earned a JD at UNH Law in 2014 as part of the JD/MSW dual degree program, which was devised to offer students a way to complete two graduate degrees in four years and was established for individuals who plan a career combining legal knowledge and social work.

“Having my dual degree helps me navigate the legal and service landscapes, which helps providers to better be able to do their jobs," Gray said.
