College Budgeting 101

Thursday, June 23  |  5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
The YMCA of Downtown Manchester
30 Mechanic Street, Manchester, NH 03101

“With college costs rising, it’s more important than ever before that people arm themselves with this critical knowledge,” said Michele Sheppard, chief operating officer at The Granite YMCA. “That’s why we’re pleased to offer this free workshop in conjunction with our friends at UNH.”

The interactive workshop is designed to help high school students and their families plan financially for college. Students are encouraged to bring their financial aid award letters to the workshop to better understand how to build a budget and effectively compare costs.

“We’ll lead participants through a planning process toward creating a workable budget,” said Sharon Eaton, associate director of financial aid at UNH Manchester. “We’ll also discuss the broad range of resources available to students and parents.”

While this program is free and open to the public, registration is required by June 21 as space is limited. YMCA members can register online, and non-members may register by calling 603-623-3558 or stopping by the Manchester Y.
