Over one thousand high school students gathered at the University of New Hampshire on March 17 for 2016 HYPE (Hosting Young Philosophy Enthusiasts) conference to consider this question: To what extent is freedom of speech influenced by power, control, and fear?
The 2016 annual statewide event began with a panel discussion by journalism leaders. Students spent much of the day engaged in student-led Soctratic discussions about censorship and the freedom of expression.
