DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire's Advising
and Career Center (UACC) invites employers to participate Thursday,
Oct. 20, 2005, in a career and internship fair for students in engineering,
technology, physical science and business programs.
The career fair offers employers an opportunity to meet and interview
undergraduate and graduate students interested in attaining internship
experience and jobs upon graduation. More than 400 students are
expected to attend. Employers also will have the opportunity to
meet with faculty who attend the event to learn more about industry
trends and staffing needs.
“UNH students are eager to work for New England engineering
firms, technology companies and research organizations,” said
Bethany Cooper, manager of employer relations and recruiting at
UACC. “The job search process seems to begin earlier and earlier
each year. Graduating seniors are focused on landing a job offer
now for May, while younger students are eager to find ‘real
world’ experience in the form of internships.”
Students attend career seminars sponsored by UACC during the semester
to help them develop resumes and interviewing skills in preparation
for the job and internship search process.
Employers interested in recruiting UNH students at this fair and
future events are invited to contact Cooper at 603-862-2029 or Bethany.Cooper@unh.edu
for more information.
