DURHAM, N.H. -- The Community Service and Leadership Program at
the University of New Hampshire’s Thompson School of Applied
Science is organizing a whiffleball tournament to raise money for
two local groups that help children in difficult situations –
On Belay and the HUB Family Resource Center.
Get your friends together to form a team and come play whiffleball
Saturday, April 16, at the UNH Whittemore Center. The fee for teams
to play is $200, and the goal is to get 24 teams signed up. It promises
to be a fun day for a good cause. To register or for more information
contact Tim Barretto at 603-862-2796.
On Belay was created about two years ago to help children who have
family members diagnosed with cancer.
For the HUB Family Resource Center the UNH Community and Leadership
Program is specifically supporting the organization’s production
of the play "No More Secrets," which helps children dealing
with unwanted sexual attention or inappropriate touching.
