UNH Professor Available to Discuss 30th Anniversary of the Fall
of Saigon

Harvard Sitkoff, professor of history at the University of New Hampshire
and an expert in 20th century American history, is available to
discuss the 30th anniversary of the fall of Saigon. On April 30,
1975, the last U.S. helicopter lifted off the roof of the American
Embassy in Saigon while blocks away the North Vietnamese overran
the gates of the presidential palace.
Sitkoff traveled to Vietnam as part of the United States-Indochina
Reconciliation Project in 1989 and has returned to the country several
times since. He has written and lectured extensively on the Vietnam
War, and regularly teaches an advanced history course on the Vietnam
