DURHAM, N.H. – Grattan Gill, one of a small number of Frank
Lloyd Wright's students from the 1950s still actively practicing
architecture, will discuss "The Wright Way: Apprenticeship
at Taliesin" Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at 2:10 p.m. in room A204
in the art department wing of the Paul Creative Arts Center.
An architect from Sandwich, Mass., Gill will discuss his experience
as a student within the apprentice system Wright developed at his
Taliesin studios in Spring Green, Wisc., and Scottsdale, Ariz. He
will reflect upon the influence Wright had on his own career and
also address the issue of Wright's continuing relevance to our "postmodern"
era.
