BACKGROUND: The Whittemore School, which was chosen by the Kerry

research and education about business and economic issues. During
primary year, the school conducts economic forums with political
candidates to discuss their views about the economy, to inform
the candidates about local and statewide economic concerns and
to make candidate’s positions known to the public.
The Whittemore School, established in 1962 through the efforts
of noted industrialist Laurence F. Whittemore, provides degree
programs that combine the breadth of a liberal education with the
specifics of professional training in business administration;
economics; hospitality management and management of technology.
