UNH Business School Will Hold Alumni Golf TournamentBy Janet Lathrop 603-862-1462 UNH News Bureau August 8, 2002
DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business and Economics will hold an alumni golf tournament Friday, August 23, 2002, at the Breakfast Hill Golf Club in Greenland. The alumni event is rescheduled from June because it was rained out. Tee times will be assigned beginning at 12:30 p.m. The 170-acre golf club is the Seacoast's newest 18-hole public course, designed by Brian Silva. Cost of the Whittemore School's alumni tournament is $50 per person, which includes green fees, range practice balls, and sandwich lunch with soft drink. Prizes will be awarded for first- and second-place teams, closest to the pin, longest and shortest drive, most birdies, and many more. Breakfast Hill is a soft-spike-only golf course, and the dress code prohibits tournament golfers from wearing denim, cutoffs, tee shirts, tank tops, bathing suits, cleated shoes or metal-spiked shoes. Participants must wear collared, mock-turtle or turtle-necked shirts. Register before Aug. 12 by calling the dean's office at the Whittemore School, 862-1983. Directions to Breakfast Hill Golf Club are available by calling 436-5001 or online at www.breakfasthill.com. |
