'Holiday Express' Features Food, Santa and Entertainment for All Ages

DURHAM, N.H. -- Hospitality management students at the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business and Economics are planning and producing their annual holiday brunch, to be held Saturday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at Huddleston Dining Hall. "Holiday Express" will feature Santa's train station, as well as Santa himself and Mrs. Claus. The package deal of $7.95 for adults and $2.95 for children includes a buffet brunch, entertainment by UNH's Notables and Gents, face painting, pictures with Santa and story-telling in the Oak Room for the children. The menu for the brunch includes fruit, danish and muffins, pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, omelets, sausage, ham, bacon, hash browns, waffles and assorted beverages. Participants are also encouraged to bring a wrapped gift for a boy or girl. Those who do will have their names entered into a drawing to win prizes from area organizations. UNH's Holiday Express brunch is planned and executed entirely by students in Professor Sylvia Marple's food and beverage management course. They organize everything from creating the menu, preparing and serving the food, to coordinating entertainment and public relations activities. Reservations can be made by calling 603-862-2712.
