DURHAM, N.H. - Junior high and high school students interested in attending the University of New Hampshire's Tech Camp this summer have until March 31 to apply. Tech Camp, which runs from July 28 - Aug. 8, 2008 on the UNH campus in Durham, offers opportunities to learn from professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
At Tech Camp 2008, participants will spend two weeks working with people from industry and the university in each of the STEM areas. The first week will be filled with hands-on problem-solving activities and related field trips. During week two, each participant will choose a project in his or her area of interest culminating with a parent and community project-sharing day.
UNH Tech Camp aims to expose participants to a variety of issues and perspectives in the STEM professions. Participants will also discuss career opportunities with companies hiring STEM professionals.
