hosts College and University Change Symposium
The New England Governors’ Conference, Inc., in partnership
with UNH, will host the New England Governors’ and Eastern
Canadian Premiers’ (NEG/ECP) College and University Change
Symposium Friday, June 18, 2004, at the New England Center. The
event is being held as part of the NEG/ECP Campus Partnership, in
which colleges and universities pledged to support the goals of
the 2001 NEG/ECP Climate Action Plan through voluntary programs
on their campuses. For more information, contact UNH’s Office
of Sustainability Programs at 2-4088.
Go to a Sea Dogs game and support Northeast Passage
Come watch great baseball and support an awesome cause at the
same time. UNH’s Northeast Passage invites all to a Portland
Sea Dogs (the Red Sox AA club) game Monday, June 28. The event is
a fundraiser for NEP’s Kids Sports After School Program. For
$30 you get game tickets, an all you can eat BBQ and fireworks.

the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space, received an Administrator’s
Special Recognition Award from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric

and students aid Congolese family separated by war
Seven
children from the Congo separated from their parents for two years
because of civil war have been awarded Humanitarian Parole thanks
in large part to a year-long effort by an anthropology professor
at the University of New Hampshire and her students, who were
determined to reunite the family in Manchester.
