Leslie Couse Teaches the Teachers

Thursday, December 5, 2013

Leslie Couse is an associate professor of education in the College of Liberal Arts at UNH. She won an Excellence in Teaching Award in 2013.

Leslie Couse believes that excellent early childhood teachers are excellent learners, always ready to adapt to the shifting needs of children with new techniques and technologies. To teach these skills, Couse gets students out into the community early and often for hands-on work that links theory to practice. She also integrates federal grant projects with pedagogy, training students in cutting-edge techniques for preparing future teachers. Watch Couse in action as she describes her teaching strategies in this video.
