UNH Manchester Ranked #2 College in the State by BestColleges.com

For the second year in a row, BestColleges.com has ranked University of New Hampshire at Manchester the second Best College in New Hampshire, following the state’s Ivy League school Dartmouth College.

The 2018 rankings are based on the most recent statistical data from the National Center for Education Statistics, which includes surveys and trends from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and College Navigator.

In addition to statistical data, academic quality and affordability are also factors in the ranking methodology. Academic quality includes admissions, enrollment, graduation and retention rates, while affordability considers the average net price, loan default rate and percentage of students taking loans.

UNH Manchester received 82.14 out of 100 quality points, earning the second spot in the state. The report cited career-driven programs, connection to real-world opportunities in Manchester, affordability and vibrant student life as factors in the college’s ranking.

In partnership with HigherEducation.com, BestColleges.com uses proprietary research and independent rankings to inform prospective students about the high quality and affordable college options that meet their educational goals.
