Nina Louise Morrison, instructor of playwriting at the UNH Theatre & Dance Department, was chosen by the Massachusetts Cultural Council to recieve a 2017 Artist Fellowship in Dramatic Writing. Morrison is one of sixteen artists who will receive a $12,000 fellowship. An additional 16 artists will receive $1,000 finalist awards. The awards are anonymously judged, based solely on the artistic quality and creative ability of the work submitted. Applications were open to all eligible Massachusetts artists. A total number of 561 applications were received; 141 in Crafts, 135 in Dramatic Writing, and 285 in Sculpture/Installation/New Genres.
