Show off your work during GIS Day

If you have a great idea, have been using a new technique or new technology, or have an intriguing project or application of geographic information systems, please share your experience and knowledge with the rest of the spatial technologies community on GIS Day, Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Dimond Library.

The Geospatial Services Center is soliciting workshops, lightning talks and posters from geospatial professionals and students. You need not be affiliated with UNH to participate.

Proposals will be accepted for the following sessions:

Poster Session (2 – 5 p.m.) This is a good forum for showing off finished maps or works in progress. Student posters are strongly encouraged. Posters will be displayed in Dimond Library’s beautifully lit Addison Reading Room.

Oral Research Lightning Talks: Lightning talks are five-minute presentations with two minutes for questions. Professional work or presentations from a recent conference would be ideal in this session. Tips on how to give a great lightening talk: keep it simple, use mostly graphics, limit yourself to five main talking points and a maximum of five slides. This is a good place for showing off interactive material and finished projects.
