NEW CASTLE, N.H. – The Great Bay Coast Watch will hold its annual barbeque at the University of New Hampshire property near the Coastal Marine Laboratory in New Castle on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Anyone interested in celebrating the event is invited to attend.
Keynote speaker Representative Thomas Fargo (D-Dover) will discuss House Bill 694, which established a commission to study the feasibility of tidal power generation. In addition, NH Sea Grant director Jonathan Pennock will discuss UNH Marine Program activities and the Great Bay Coast Watch Environmental Steward Award will be presented.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie options and beverages will be provided. Those attending are encouraged to bring other items to share, including appetizers, salads or desserts.
