Student playing piano in UNH PEP -Piano Extension
AYP-PEP-02

Piano Extension Program (PEP) - 7 weeks

Since 1996, UNH's Piano Extension Program (PEP) has been providing lessons and music education to area students of all ages.

Lessons are taught by advanced UNH piano students and recent graduates of the UNH music department. The instructors have a demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for teaching piano, and have completed an intensive course in piano teaching methods.

In addition, performance classes led by experienced PEP teachers and Dr. Christopher Kies, director of the PEP and piano faculty at UNH, occur twice in the seven week sessions. These performance classes give students a chance to play in front of their peers, which increases their motivation and sense of comradery, and allows Dr. Kies the opportunity to give them useful pointers and monitor their progress.

A student recital at the Bratton Recital Hall is scheduled at the end of each semester for students to share their musical gift in a formal setting. The recital is open to public and all are welcome to attend.

Finally, students and families in the program also receive the most up to date information about concerts in the UNH Piano Department and surrounding areas, as well as occasional used piano giveaways.

A 10% discount is available for families enrolling multiple students - check the "Apply a discount" box from your cart during check out and select the 'pepsib' code from the drop down box. The discount is available only for subsequent family members and must be applied upon initial enrollment.

Click the '+' sign on the blocks on the right to register for the desired lesson type and time frame (i.e. 30 min or 45 min).

Please refer to our Online Registration Instructions, especially if you are enrolling more than one child or using this system for the first time. Each child must have an individual account (in his/her name) and the enrollments done separately within each account. If your child has an account already, do not create another!
