Piano Extension Program (PEP) - Full semester

UNH Piano Extension Program - Winter/Spring 2024

The Piano Extension Program (PEP) has been providing piano lessons and music education to area students of all ages and levels at a reasonable rate since 1996. Founded by the late Arlene Kies, piano lessons at the PEP are taught by a qualified roster of teachers comprised of students and recent graduates of the UNH Music Department. At the end of every semester, students have the opportunity to perform in a recital.

All levels accepted; from beginner to advanced. Adult learners are welcome.

After enrolling, students are paired with their teachers by the PEP Director. Adult students or the parent/guardian will receive an email from their teacher to schedule their lessons.

Lessons are held at the Paul Creative Arts Center (PCAC) at 30 Academic Way, Durham NH.

Please review the PEP Welcome Letter/Important Dates and the PEP Policies documents on the program website: PEP

Please note that the Piano Extension Program follows the university's academic schedule. There are no lessons during the summer.

A 10% discount is available for families enrolling more than one student - check the "Apply a discount" box from your cart during check out and select the 'pepsib' code from the drop down box. The discount is available only for subsequent family members and must be applied upon initial enrollment. Drop requests should be made directly to the program director: rebecca.austin-bolster@unh.edu This does not guarantee a refund but alerts us that a drop has been requested. The director will contact the adult student or parent shortly after receiving the drop request. A cancelled enrollment will be refunded (minus a $50 administrative fee) within 14 days of the session start date. After 14 days, no refund is provided.

Online Registration Instructions: please review before enrolling for the best outcome. Family Accounts are recommended for enrolling multiple children from one family in any UNH Youth Program. If you already have an account in our system, you will be asked to log into either a Family or Student Account. Be sure you know which type of account you have and know your username and password. We recommend you attempt to log into the student or family account before enrollment opens as this will minimize difficulty and time while enrolling. Do not create a new account if you have one already.

If you don't have an account already, you can set up an account at any time, even before you begin the registration process. If you are creating an account for your child, the email address provided in the profile should be that of a parent/legal guardian, not the participating student.

Important:

UNH has partnered with CampDoc to quicken the enrollment process. Enrollments and payments are done here through our current enrollment system, but no registration questions will be required at that time. Within a few days of enrolling, the email provided in the student/family account will receive an email prompting completion of the registration questions.

Due to very brief timelines between enrollment and the program start date, it is important that an adult student or the parent/guardian of a student under age 18 respond to the CampDoc email and complete the registration questions promptly. Families who enrolled a child through our current enrollment system in the Summer or Fall of 2023 will have a CampDoc account. A parent/guardian will need to log into the student account and complete any necessary questions for this program. A participant’s CampDoc profile must be 100% complete before they can attend the program.

For more information, review our “CampDoc” page.
