Updated COVID-19 Testing Information

August 16, 2020

Dear Students—

Our COVID-19 testing program is underway, and we thank you in advance for your patience as we work to ensure our campuses are as safe as possible. This email will provide important pre-arrival testing information for students.

We are aware there are delays in testing nationally, but we have received a commitment from our testing partners that results will be available for the UNH testing program within 3-5 days. You must participate in the UNH testing program in order for this to happen. Results from the UNH testing program will be sent directly to UNH.

This information is for pre-arrival testing only. Students will be tested upon arrival to UNH. Information on arrival testing will be sent next week.

A few important points:

  • What is pre-arrival testing for students? Pre-arrival is defined as “prior to arriving to live on or off campus on one of our campuses (Durham Manchester or Concord) or if you are commuter student, prior to the first day you will be on campus for classes, meetings or programs.”
  • What is the pre-arrival testing timeline for students? You must have a test completed no earlier than 8 days prior to arriving on or off campus or if you are commuter student, prior to the first day you will be on campus for classes, meetings or programs.

If you arrive to live on or off campus on this date

ConvenientMD

  • UNH sponsored testing is NOT available at a “brick and mortar” ConvenientMD location unless noted (currently only Weymouth, Mass., and Portland, Maine).
  • Please register online at least 24 hours in advance. Same day registration will result in significant delays. Use any email to register and bring a valid picture ID to the testing site for verification.
  • If you are not receiving your results email UNHTESTINGOPS@convenientmd.com and support@veritasgenetics.com

Testing Options with Quest Diagnostics

  • Can only be used through Friday, Aug. 21, to ensure testing results reach UNH on time.
  • UNH sponsored testing is NOT available at “brick and mortar” Quest locations unless instructed when registering.
  • Please register as soon as possible in the event you need to receive a mail-in test kit. You will need your student ID number to complete the registration process. Once you register you will either have a kit mailed to you or be provided with a nearby location. If you do not know your student ID number, please visit https://www.unh.edu/it/find-your-id-number.

Testing through other non-UNH sponsored locations
You can get tested wherever you like but if you don’t use one of the designated test locations it will not be paid for by UNH and you will need to ensure the results get uploaded to UNH Health & Wellness at s link we will share in the next testing email.
