Michelle Leichtman

Associate Professor of Psychology

Michelle Leichtman is a developmental psychologist who studies memory development. Her research examines cultural differences in autobiographical memory and self-construal among children and adults, parent-child reminiscing conversations, and memories of educational episodes. She has been a member of the UNH faculty since 2002 and teaches courses related to child development and social development. 

Ms. Leichtman can speak to the media on the following topics: autobiographical memory, children’s memory, infantile amnesia, parent-child conversations, suggestibility, memory in education, and memory across cultures.
