What did you study at UNH?

Entrepreneurship & Business Management

What were you doing 1 year out of college?

Upon graduating, I took a role at the Mass Technology Leadership Council as the Events Coordinator. In this position, I managed all of their events (about 100 annually), email marketing & communications, social media and the website. MassTLC is a non-profit trade association connecting folks in technology positions in the greater Boston area. MassTLC allowed me to network within the tech community with many fast growing and innovative organizations, which led to my current role at Acquia.

What are you doing now?

Right now, I run Field Marketing for North America at Acquia in Boston – a software company that offers a platform, an array of products, services and support for open source Drupal. In this role, I support our enterprise field sales team with a go-to-market strategy to grow their business within their geographic regions and industries. In the fall, I am relocating to our Sydney, Australia office to run marketing for the entire Asia-Pacific region. I can’t put words to how much I have grown both personally and professionally at Acquia – it has been a tremendous experience and I’m lucky to be part of such an extraordinary team.

Outside of Acquia, I’m living in Boston, getting married later this summer to Tony DiCicco (’10) and then we’re moving down undah’ to Australia in the fall for two years.

How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?

My experience at UNH, above all else, opened my mind. It opened my mind to the importance of learning – always. It opened my mind to the business world and how dynamic organizations work through the various internships I held and classes I took. It opened by mind to new cultures through my study abroad exchange in Australia in Fall of 09′. And lastly, it opened my mind to new people. I was very involved at UNH through different organizations, inter-murals, working downtown and this allowed me to meet and interact with many people, which has only helped me in my career. The blend of these four experiences built the groundwork for where I am today: Always be learning; Be open to dynamic changes within an organization; Get out and explore! Always place a high value on relationships and who you meet. You never know where it might get you.

Why do you believe in UNH?

I believe in UNH because it offers it’s students the platform to achieve anything they want – it’s in the power of YOU [the student] to make it happen!
