What did you study at UNH?
What are some of your strongest memories of UNH?
Lifelong friendships built the first week of school in Williamson that have now brought us all on to weddings, babies and life travels. An independent study with Dr. Stephen Hardy in the Sports Studies department and the ability to co-author in a published journal as well as contribute to a textbook. Studying abroad in Budapest (though the Business School), Alpha Xi Delta sorority, and of course homecoming tailgates and White Out the Whitt!
How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?
My time at UNH helped to provide me the foundational tools to build my career and allow me to see the world. It gave me the opportunities for social, intellectual and professional development. The friendships that began freshman year in a triple dorm, help get me through day-to-day!
Tell us about your career path to date… what have been some career milestones in your life?
While at UNH, I worked for the Center for International Education and after graduating from UNH I worked for the Budapest Study Abroad Program. This opportunity gave me a taste of international development and exploration. Utilizing my education in both business and sports studies I went on to work at Brown University in Athletic Fundraising. That led me to Merrimack College where I continued fundraising, completed a Masters Degree in Health and Wellness Management and reopened the door for international exploration through serving others. Today I feel so lucky to call Lima, Peru my home working as a Director of Development for Casa Hogar Juan Pablo, a community and home for at-risk children and families. While the days aren’t always easy, they’re certainly rewarding! I’m grateful for UNH leading me here through skills, mentors and friendships!
