What were you doing 1 year out of college?
One year out of college I was working as a Financial Analyst at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Department of Anesthesia. I spent four and a half years with Anesthesia as a Financial Analyst and Senior Financial Analyst.
What were you doing 5 years out of college?
Five years out of college I had just accepted a role as Finance & Operations Specialist in the Department of Surgery at MGH. I spent a year and a half with Surgery managing the budget process, financial analysis and modeling, and surgeon compensation for each of the surgical divisions at MGH.
What are you doing now?
Today I am working in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Oliver Wyman, a professional Services firm under Marsh & McLennan. In my current role I manage financial projects within the Health & Life Sciences practice, including the budget process and revenue and expense forecasting.
How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?
I feel as though my time at UNH successfully prepared me for a career in healthcare finance. I am incredibly thankful to the faculty in Health Management & Policy for the many lessons learned that I have taken with me and directly applied to my career. I couldn’t be more glad that I chose UNH and HMP!
