What did you study at UNH?

Business Practices, UNH Durham Whittemore School of Business

What were you doing 1 year out of college?

One year out of college I was working for Apple at their headquarters in Cupertino, California on their Global Training Team. I was the Apple Campus Rep at UNH and was able to utilize my experience on campus to land a job at Apple and meet my idol Steve Jobs in San Francisco. My dreams came true.

What were you doing 5 years out of college?

5 years out of college I was involved in technology start ups in San Francisco focusing on health and technology. Practice Fusion, Funzio, Splunk, and Ustream were 3 of the start ups I became involved with and their success continues on to this day as leading the way in the health and technology fields. I learned a lot about what makes employees happy and how to be a leader during my time at these start ups. I also polished my IT and computer knowledge beyond Apple training and learned enterprise IT standards in fast paced start ups.

What are you doing now?

I started my own company based on everything I learned working for Apple and start ups in San Francisco. My focus now is training seniors and older adults how to utilize technology for health and wellness.

Why do you believe in UNH?

I believe in UNH because I was not accepted by UNH, but it was the only school in the world that I wanted to go to so I went anyway. I became so involved my freshman year in every club and activity on campus that by my Senior year, I was recognized with a CYOS award by UNH. I was a supervisor at Campus Rec, a Senior RA at Congreve Hall, an Apple Campus Rep, involved in Greek Life, a Wildcat community mentor, on the UNH Tennis Team, and even created my own major. My younger sister, Misha also decided to go to UNH based on some of my experiences and she created her story there as well. I believe in UNH as it allows you to be who you want to be in the grandest sense. You can make your dreams a reality there. I sure did and must say that UNH Campus Recreation, Franz’s, Wildcat Pizza, Admission Counselors Elizabeth Cross and Raul Bernal and Professor Sheila McNamee made a huge impact on my life.
