What did you study at UNH?
What were you doing 1 year out of college?
I was working at Colby-Sawyer College in the Campus Activities Office. By graduation at UNH, I had spent three years working at the MUB as a peer advisor for the business school, so when the MUB directors received notice that Colby-Sawyer was looking for a coordinator for their student affairs office it seemed like a great fit.
What were you doing 5 years out of college?
At five years, I had recently relocated to San Francisco, CA from Washington, D.C. and was working as a product manager for CEB’s HR practice (a research and advisory services company). I was actually introduced to my first job at CEB by a friend from UNH who had recently started there.
What are you doing now?
At 10 years out of UNH, I am still happily living in San Francisco and working for CEB. Last year I moved into an account management role, overseeing F1000 accounts across the West Coast. I am also staying active with UNH by serving as the co-president of the UNH Northern California Alumni Network.
How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?
UNH has had a significant impact in helping me to achieve what I have. By being able to participate in groups like Sigma Nu, Freshman Camp, and Student Senate, UNH allowed me to make lifelong friends, have early opportunities for leadership, and a deep sense of the importance of being a member of a broader community. In addition to helping me get my second job out of college, the UNH Network has also helped me to quickly get connected with great groups of alumni in each of the cities I have lived in.
