For entry into any CEPS program, there are minimum requirements that include, but are not limited to, grades of C or better in Calculus I and CEPS-specific physical sciences. Please contact your advisor for details before requesting a change of major into a CEPS program.

Civil Engineering - Declaration Rule
A student majoring in civil engineering may repeat a maximum of two CEE courses each of which may be repeated more than once. Furthermore, a civil engineering major is allowed a maximum of two consecutive semesters with a semester GPA of less than 2.00 and a maximum of any two semesters with a GPA in CIE and ENE courses of less than 2.00
To transfer into the BSCE program, a student must:
a. have an overall grade point average of 2.33 or greater;
b. have an overall grade point average of 2.33 or greater for all CEE courses taken to date;
c. have a grade point average of 2.33 in courses taken to date of MATH 425, PHYS 407, CHEM 405, CEE 500 and CEE 501; and
d. have an overall grade point average of 2.33 or greater
Students who wish to transfer into Civil Engineering should first meet with the departmental contact listed above.
To enter the required 600-level courses in the junior year, students:
a. must have completed CIE 525 or ME 525, CIE 526 or ME 526, MATH 425, PHYS 407, and CHEM 405 or CHEM 403,
b. must have achieved an overall grade point average of 2.00 or greater for these courses, and
c. must attain a grade of C or better in each of CIE 525 or ME 525 and CIE 526 or ME 526.
Environmental Engineering - Declaration Rule
To transfer into the BSENE program, you must meet the following:
- a. be a CEPS major or have ≥12 cr of graded work at UNH, Calculus I, and either chemistry or calculus-based physics with grades of C or better (B or better for a community college course);
- b. have a GPA ≥ 2.33 overall;
- c. have a GPA ≥ 2.33 in CEE courses taken to date;
- d. have a GPA ≥ 2.33 in MATH 425, PHYS 407, CHEM 405, CIE 525, and ENE 520 taken to date; and
- e. have a GPA ≥ 2.33 in CIE 525 and ENE 520 or, if only one has been taken, a grade of C+ in the course. Only CEE 600- and 700-level courses with a grade of C- or better may be transferred into the BSENE major.
