For all users of alternate transit programs:
- Wildcat Transit
If you left our car at home, but need to get home in an unexpected hurry, you've got a ride--guaranteed.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Q. What is this program for?
A. It's to make it easier for you to pick and use one of the several alternate transportation programs to campus, without fear that you may get "stuck" at UNH in an emergency.
Q. Can anybody get a ride?
A. Faculty/Staff or student commuters who have taken Wildcat Transit, a carpool, vanpool, or rideshare may use the Guaranteed Ride Home service. This service is for emergencies, not casual rides or scheduling difficulties. Participants may have up to two emergency rides per semester.
Q. What is the cost for a ride home?
A. An emergency ride home is free.
Q. What is the service range for Guaranteed Ride Home?
A. You can get a ride home from campus to your local residence or park & ride if that is where you left your vehicle. There is no Guaranteed Ride service to other desitinations, or from off campus to UNH. Individuals must live within the Wildcat Transit service area (Durham, Dover, Madbury, Newmarket, Lee, Portsmouth, Newington, the Route 125 corridor to Rochester, or Exeter). Maximum 15 miles 1-way.
Q. How do I arrange for a ride home?
A. Contact the Transportation Services office (603-862-2328, voice, Relay NH 7-1-1). Ordinarily, your ride can be ready to go in about fifteen minutes. The service is available Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. excluding holidays and curtailed operations. Certain other restrictions may apply.
