2020 Social Innovation Intern - Community Development Finance Authority
Sophie Ropp

Sophie Ropp interned with the Community Development Finance Authority, an organization focused on encouraging community and economic development as well as supporting clean energy and sustainable practices across New Hampshire. As an intern, Sophie worked with the team at CDFA organizing and awarding the Community Development Block Grant to nonprofits who provide valuable services to their communities. As a dual majoring in Economics and Sustainability with a minor in Computer Science, she was excited to help businesses and nonprofit organizations find ways to create shared value for their communities and contribute to the process of sustainable development. Through the internship, she gained a deeper understanding of the different ways nonprofits contribute to society and how to support their initiatives.
