Fall 2020 Semester in the City Fellow
Brook Seigars

Brooke was a senior at UNH studying International Affairs and Spanish. On campus, she was involved in the honors program, Hamel Scholars, and Amnesty International. Brooke completed her 70 page thesis on the history of female mobilization in Argentina. During Semester in the City, she interned at Friends of the Hernández, a non-profit branch of the Rafael Hernández two-way bilingual school in Roxbury. She was most excited to eat her way through the city, explore all the parks, and learn more about the community she is working in. Additionally, Brooke hoped to gain professional experience and make lasting connections. Upon graduation in December of 2020, she planned to spend time abroad and work in direct service to underfunded communities. While she was not set on the exact field she wants to go into, Brooke’s dream job would be working with the United Nations.
