We will be offering three service options:

Cold Weather Kits: We will be assembling cold weather kits for Cross Roads House homeless shelter. We will provide hand warmers, lip balm, sanitizing wipes, facial tissue, and other items for volunteers to assemble. If you would like to contribute, feel free to bring a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card that we can include in the kits.

Project Linus: We will be making no-sew fleece blankets to donate to folks in need.

Letter TranscribingThe African American story is central to our nation’s history. Collections documenting the contributions of African Americans in countless fields, along with the struggles and achievements inherent to their stories, can be found in the records of every Smithsonian museum. We will be helping transcribe these letters to make them more accessible. You will need to bring your laptop for this project.
