Civic and Community Engagement leads UNH students into the world to serve. Our goals are to meet community needs beyond the campus, to empower students to lead change in their communities, and to promote active citizenship in a diverse democracy.

Get Involved & Give Back!

Our vision is threefold: that UNH will attract and retain service-minded students; that UNH will serve as an asset to the surrounding communities; and that all UNH students will graduate as engaged citizens with the skills and intention to be active in strengthening their communities.

UNH Serves

UNH Serves is UNH's online portal for community service efforts. Students can search for volunteer opportunities, log service hours, share achievements on LinkedIn, and more.

The phrase "UNH Serves" has been used for many years to describe student and alumni volunteer work in communities here in the Seacoast and throughout the country. We are proud to build on that legacy with this new online portal, launched Spring 2022! Contact Megan with any questions.

YES! Please do! On your dashboard, click the stopwatch icon that tracks how many hours you've completed. Click "Add Hours", and where it says "Are these hours in reference to a need you responded to on this site?" select "no". Enter the date worked and number of hours, and answer whether you'll volunteer for that partner again. Then press submit!

Yes. Email Megan with the name of your group. If they are already signed up as a User Group on UNH Serves, Megan will send you the link to join. If they aren't a User Group, Megan will set it up for you and give you a link to share with the rest of the group. User Groups allow your org president, team captain, etc. to pull reports about all the service your group has completed together.
