Safe Zones for Students!

Are you an Ally? Have you wondered what you can do to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ) students at UNH? Come to a Safe Zones workshop! This informal activity-based program offers you an opportunity to learn about LGBTQ issues and people and explore questions such as: What can I do to respond to homophobic comments? How can I support a friend who is coming out? What's so bad about saying "That's so gay"? Join us for an interactive conversation, as we consider these questions and strengthen our understanding of how to be better allies and create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming campus. Bring your questions!

To Schedule a Safe Zones Program:

Most Safe Zones programs and trainings are facilitated by students for students. We can bring a Safe Zones program or training to your student organization, residence hall, classroom, department student staff training, off-campus organization, etc. We offer a wide variety of LGBTQ and Ally program topics and interactive formats, and can "tailor" programs based on the interests of students.
