The University Instrumentation Center (UIC) maintains three user groups who volunteer to participate in providing valuable feedback and input for these three specific areas of the UIC operation:
Imaging USER GROUP
- SEM, TEM, Confocal, Cytometry, other microscopy
- Imaging Group Members
Spectroscopy USER GROUP
- NMR, FTIR, XPS, other spectroscopy
- Spectroscopy Group Members
Engineering Services USER GROUP
- Calibrations, instrument servicing, repairs, maintenance and specialty instrument design
- Engineering Services Group Members
The mission of these user groups is to:
- Better connect our current users and potential users to the UIC
- Provide transparency to the UIC operational metrics including costs and usage
- Solicit input from UIC users to allow better alignment of the UIC goals with those of researchers and other users
- Provide a method of outward communication of UIC initiatives to UIC users
The groups meet twice per year and membership is determined through solicitation or as requested.
The Knowledge Base contains forms, instruction and training material, minutes, policies, tools and other resources to support your research efforts by topic area.
