Fieldwork Safety Resources

Kovach Lab - Researching Tidal Marsh Sparrows

Research groups performing fieldwork are encouraged to complete a safety plan for their research trips. A comprehensive safety plan template is available here. Contact EHS with questions related to use of hazardous material or hazardous processes in the field. This could include chemical use, biological sampling, fall protection, respiratory protection, waste generation, etc. Consider submitting your fieldwork safety plan for review by a peer group or unit level safety committee to help improve your safety planning.
