Internship Opportunities

At PIRC, we seek highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in preventing sexual violence and promoting social change. Interns must demonstrate a strong academic record and preferably have a background in social science research or a related field. Internships are currently available at our Durham, NH office on the University of New Hampshire campus.

Communications Intern

PIRC is seeking an undergraduate student to help manage PIRC’s social media accounts for 8-10 hours/week for the Fall 2018 Semester. This student should be interested in the field of sexual and relationship violence prevention and response, and should have an interest in and basic knowledge of social media and/or social media marketing. This position has the potential to be a full year if desired by the applicant.

Prevention Intern

PIRC is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to help with research projects focused on preventing sexual and relationship violence and stalking at PIRC for 8-10 hours/week in the Fall 2018 Semester. This student should be interested in the field of sexual and relationship violence prevention and response. This student will report directly to the Executive Director of Practice at PIRC. This position has the potential to be a full year if desired by the applicant.

Research Assistant

PIRC is seeking an undergraduate student to help with multiple research projects at PIRC for 8-10 hours/week in the Fall 2018 Semester. This student should be interested in the field of sexual and relationship violence prevention and response. The student may assist in a variety of ways including: data collection, data entry, writing papers, holding focus groups, administering surveys, notetaking, and general operations. This position has the potential to be a full year if desired by the applicant.

uSafeUS Research Assistant

PIRC is seeking three undergraduate or graduate students to help with PIRC’s NH VOCA Grant Project for 10-15 hours/week for the Fall 2018 Semester. The objective of the NH VOCA Grant is to facilitate the successful implementation of PIRC’s uSafeUS mobile app on the 24 NH college campuses. This student should be interested in the field of sexual and relationship violence prevention and response. This position has the potential to be a full year, and can begin over Summer 2018 if desired by the applicant. Applicants from all towns in the state of NH are encouraged to apply.

CSAPPnh Research Assistant

PIRC is seeking an undergraduate student to help with PIRC’s CSAPPnh Research Project for 8-10 hours/week in the Fall 2018 Semester. This student should be interested in the field of sexual and relationship violence prevention and response. The objective of the CSAPPnh project is to assist colleges successfully implement a comprehensive sexual misconduct plan by Spring 2019. The CSAPPnh project is funded by the U.S. Health and Human Services Department, Office on Women’s Health. This position has the potential to be a full year if desired by the applicant.
