Michelle has helped launch new technology, in both startups and Fortune 500 companies, for more than 20 years. She brings her passion for nurturing tech that supports, protects, and educates to her role at Prevention Innovations Research Center (PIRC). Michelle led PIRC’s launch of the uSafeUS® sexual assault prevention and response app for college students, now in use at 24 colleges and universities, and more recently the pilot version of the uSafeHS™ healthy relationships app for high school students. Through a variety of product management and marketing positions with technology companies, Michelle has become an expert in translating complex technology into benefits meaningful for every audience. She holds a BBA from the University of Iowa, is currently completing an MS in Information Design & Strategy at Northwestern University, and was a member of the University of New Hampshire's first national-level I-Corps (NSFInnovationCorps) team, where she served as the team’s business mentor. Michelle lived and worked in the UK for 9 years, and she looks forward to travelling again post-pandemic. She lives in Chapel Hill, NC.
