  • National Information Standards Organization (NISO)Research Data Management primer provides an overview of how data management has changed in recent years, and outlines best practices for the collection, documentation, and preservation of research data.
  • DMPTooland DMP Online are Web-based tools to build and edit a customized plan according to select sponsor requirements (including the NSF). 
  • SHERPA/JULIET provides easy access to summaries of sponsors' open access and data archiving policies.
  • SHERPA/FACT is a tool to help researchers check if the journals in which they wish to publish their results comply with their funder's requirements for open access to research.
  • SHERPA/RoMEO provides easy access to the permissions that are normally given as part of each publisher's copyright transfer agreement.
