Dear University Community,
Our COVID-19 testing program is underway, and we thank you in advance for your patience as we work to ensure our campuses are as safe as possible. This email will provide important reminders for members of our community who are already on one of our campuses and required to be participating in weekly testing as well as pre-arrival testing information for students.
We are aware there are delays in testing nationally, but we have received a commitment from our testing partners that results will be available for the UNH testing program within 3-5 days. You must participate in the UNH testing program in order for this to happen. Results from the UNH testing program will be sent directly to UNH.
A few important points:
- Faculty, staff, student employees and contractors who are required to return to work prior to August 31 must be tested no earlier than 8 days prior to the first day at work. Once you have had a negative test and are working on campus, you must continue to be tested once every week.
- On-campus housing: All students who plan to live on one of our campuses (Durham, Manchester or Concord) must be tested no earlier than 8 days prior to their arrival to on-campus housing. Students will be required to provide proof of a negative test prior to moving into on-campus housing. Students living in on-campus housing will be tested again on their campus the day they move in.
- Off-campus housing: All students who plan to live off-campus must be tested no earlier than 8 days prior and provide proof of a negative test before accessing UNH facilities. Students living off-campus must take a second test administered at UNH-Durham, UNH-Manchester or at UNH Law prior to their first day of classes.
- Early UNH Housing personal property drop-off appointments: Testing is NOT required before the short early housing drop-off appointments. Please follow the instructions you received from housing.
Two testing options (ConvenientMD or Quest Diagnostics):
- Faculty, staff, students and contractors can use the UNH sponsored testing in partnership with ConvenientMD.
- UNH sponsored testing is NOT available at a “brick and mortar” ConvenientMD location unless noted (currently only Weymouth, Mass., and Portland, Maine).
- Please register online at least 24 hours in advance. Same day registration will result in significant delays. Use any email to register and bring a valid picture ID to the testing site for verification. If you have specific questions about testing results with ConvenientMD email UNHTESTINGOPS@convenientmd.com. For general questions about testing email email@example.com.

- This option is only for students.
- UNH sponsored testing is NOT available at “brick and mortar” Quest locations unless instructed when registering.
- Please register as soon as possible in the event you need to receive a mail-in test kit. You will need your student ID number to complete the registration process. Once you register you will either have a kit mailed to you or be provided with a nearby location. If you do not know your student ID number, please visit https://www.unh.edu/it/find-your-id-number.

Thank you again for your patience and cooperation. If you choose to get tested outside of the UNH testing program (options above) you will be able to upload your test results. Next week’s email will include instructions.
