Welcome to the FRC!

The varsity Sport for the MindT™, FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real-world engineering” as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Teams are made up of students in grades 9 – 12.

This year the University of New Hampshire and FIRST are joining forces to host a two-day district  event for the New England District.

We will have 40-plus teams participating from around New England. That’s more than 1,000 team members, their coaches, mentors, families and friends. Join us on March 30 and march 31 for two days of competition open to the public at thevWhittemore Center Arena for this fast paced and exciting event.

This year’s game is called POWER UP, an video game themed competition played by two alliances of three robots each.

This event is free and open to the public.

We love visitors at our events, but we also want them to be safe! Please remind your families, school administrators, politicians and anyone else attending the event that they must wear closed-toe shoes and closed-back shoes as well as safety glasses when visiting the pits. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Inform them that "robots have the right of way" in our pits – and to be aware of their surroundings. If you have a special VIP guest attending the event, please let us know in advance so that we can add them to our invited guest list. This would include school superintendents, mayors and local media.

Aubuchon Hardware stores within a 5 mile radius.
