What to Bring (aside from your first year belongings)

  • Comfortable shoes
  • Water bottle
  • An umbrella or raincoat (the weather in early August can be unpredictable).
  • Swimwear
  • Sunscreen
  • Snacks
  • Spending money* (not required for off campus trip)

CONNECT STEM Move-In Day Schedule

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.   Check into your Fall Housing
*On campus and Commuter Students: Please pick up your housing packet, schedules and nametags at Hood House Lobby (89 Main Street, Durham, NH 03824)

**All students will receive a Rapid Test upon arrival, and 10 PCR tests with labels to use during the fall semester. Masks are encouraged, and we will provide students with a KN95 mask.

***Hood House is located adjacent to the Memorial Union Building (MUB). There is a 15 minute loading zone outside of Hood House, and ticketed parking across the street. There are accessible parking spots outside of the MUB.

Parking is available to permit holders in any commuter lot:

  • Lot A (off Main Street, across from Field House). <- Closest for most of our activities
  • Lot M (across Gables Way from Lot A, behind Parking & Transit Center).
  • Mast Road & Mathes Lots (by Equestrian Center off upper Main Street).
  • Moiles Lot (formerly known as Mast Road II; gravel lot near Equestrian Center).
  • Lot S (top of West Edge Way, near Printing & Mail).
  • West Edge Lot (large lot just beyond Lot S).
  • G1 Lot (small extension off Fac/Staff lot near Putnam Hall).

1:30 – 2:15 p.m.   Program Check-In & Welcome

Students will receive their schedule and tee-shirt. Join this discussion of program expectations and tips for  a successful transition to college. 

2:15 – 4:00 p.m.   Settling In
Take this time to settle into your room and/or explore downtown Durham and campus.

4:00 - 5:00 p.m.   Meet your Mentor (location will be chosen by group)

5:10 - 6:00 p.m.   Dinner with your Mentor
Holloway Commons (HoCo)

6:00 - 8:00 p.m.   Social - Getting to Know You

CONNECT Classic Move-In Day Schedule

*On campus students: Housing packets will be provided at your residence hall.  Those arriving after 12pm will have to come to Hood House Lobby (89 Main Street, Durham, NH 03824).  

  • *Commuters can go directly  to Hood House Lobby to pick up schedules prior to program kickoff at 1:30pm.
