Billiards Tourney Rules

  • 8 Ball

  • Using Billiards Congress of America (BCA) rules Copies available to players
  • Double elimination
  • Lag for break
  • Illegal break-opponents choice to rerack or not, rerack is opponents break
  • 1st ball in chooses solid/stripe
  • Call shots that are not obvious
  • Ball in hand for fouls
    • Standard fouls:
      • Cue ball scratch or off table
      • Wrong ball 1st = must hit your own ball 1st
      • No rail after contact
      • Ball off table
      • Touched ball/Double hit/Frozen ball/Push shot
  • Games Room Judge will be final decision maker on all disputes

Smash Bros Tourney Rules

  • 3 matches= 1 round/single elimination
  • Personal controller allowed 3 stock (character) or 8 min- lowest percent damage wins
    • If tie- sudden death=1 stock/3min
  • In the case of self-destruct results on screen will determine winner
  • Rock/paper/scissors –winner chooses stock 1st match, loser chooses next match
  • 1st choice of stock is final-per match not round
  • Items will be OFF
  • Only Omega stages will be used
  • Pausing/Stalling NOT ALLOWED
  • Amiibos BANNED
  • Custom moves BANNED
  • Games Room Judge decisions are final

Table Tennis Tourney Rules

  • USATT rules will be followed
  • Race to 2-Single Elimination
  • 11pt match-serve change after 3
  • Can use own Rackets- Sandpaper/Cork BANNED 
    • Will be inspected by Games Room Judge
  • Serve –open hand
  • Let ALLOWED
  • Single Fault
  • Score disputed = to prevent issues each player should call the score allowed before serving (refer to 7.5)
  • Games Room Judge decisions are final

FIFA Tourney Rules

  • Tournaments will be single elimination for 8-16 players (double for 1-8). The bracket will be filled out via a blind draw at check-in.
  • All games are played on the EA Sports FIFA 18 and a PS4.
  • There will be no coaching allowed.
  • There will be no memory cards or saved games are permitted.
  • Players are prohibited from wearing headsets and may not listen to any music via headphones.
  • Controllers are supplied by the UNH Game Room but player can use their own if so inclined. It is the responsibility of all players to be familiar with the controller’s functions and mode of operation.
  • Any regular season teams, as installed with the original game, can be selected except for all-star teams.
  • Games will be played for 6 minute halves.
  • The Game Settings are as follows:
    • Difficulty Level: World Class
    • Injuries: On
    • Offside: On
    • Time/Score Display: On
    • Camera: Tele
    • Radar: 2D or 3D
    • Overtime: If the game goes into extra time the winner will be decided using penalty shots
  • Participation in this competition constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these rules. Games Room staff decisions are final on all matters relating to this tournament
