Adrian Reyes served in the US Army for three years as an 11C Indirect Fire Infantryman. Upon separating from active duty, he joined the Army National Guard and began attending UNH as a Forestry major. He chose UNH due to its excellent forestry program and friendly community. One of the things he has enjoyed the most about UNH are the students and the staff. Professors seem to love what they do and create an environment that is easy to learn in. One of the biggest lessons Adrian learned at UNH is to seek help if help is needed. He emphasizes that he has never met a teacher or TA who would not go out of their way to help a student. He advises incoming Veterans to get out and take advantage of all UNH has to offer. The UNH community is diverse so there is truly something for everybody. The staff is always there to help and there are many free services that provide help with anything from academics to finding summer or full time employment. Upon graduating UNH, Mr. Reyes is pleased to note that he has been hired as a NH Forest Ranger with the Forest Protection Bureau and plans on continuing to serve in the Army National Guard.
